Janet has been a resident of Manhattan Beach since 1999 and has loved living in the vibrant beach community. She has three kids who attend Mira Costa and are actively involved with school activities. Janet was born in Seattle, Washington and moved to the Los Angeles area to attend UCLA. Graduating in the late 1980s with an Arts/Science degree, she held different positions in the business field. She spent three years as a Brand Manager for Pioneer Entertainment specializing in promotions and acquisitions. Prior to that, she worked for Best Film and Video working in PR, editing, video production, and distribution. Since 2000 Soliman-Suard has worked with various charity organizations including the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, for which she has been featured as an Honored Survivor. She was on the Board of the Foundation of Local Arts, fostered a child from Afghanistan through the charity Solace, and worked with Walk with Sally, a cancer organization. Being on the OTS Board has been a rewarding experience for her.
