John grew up a quarter mile off I-5 in California’s Central Valley. His dream to learn how to surf was realized when he moved to Manhattan Beach in 1992, after attending the University of Southern California. Back then, it was not uncommon to have the media document that the ocean in the Santa Monica Bay had an “F” rating. Now with many groups, such as the Aquarium, actively working for a better future, it is a lot more exciting to see the media instead report “A” ratings consistently. John has worked on the Board of the Roundhouse Aquarium since 2011 where his main responsibility is fundraising. It has been an excellent fit for John who has had a thriving 15-year career selling premier luxury homes in the South Bay. He is one of the principals of Forbes/Corrales Coastal Properties, which is part of Coldwell Banker. He averages over 50 home sales per year.
