It’s been about six months since Grace Adams became the first executive director for The Roundhouse Aquarium Teaching Center, at the end of the Manhattan Beach pier — and she’s already made quite the impact.
Adams, who became the aquarium and teaching center’s leader in August — before that, board liaisons worked with staff — helped launch Roundhouse’s science leadership program for middle school and high school students in November.
The program, which exposes students to research techniques and data analysis while simultaneously teaching them life skills like public speaking and critical thinking, will introduce a new cohort later this month; another will begin in the summer.
