Alejandra Ceceña
Alejandra joined the Roundhouse in the fall of 2020 as a Service Learning Student during her
senior year in college. She studied at Cal State Long Beach and received her Bachelor of Science
in Organismal Biology along with a minor in German. Her love for animals led to her
appreciation of her conservation courses which resulted in her volunteer work at the Roundhouse
where she assisted with online student education and learned that it was a path she wanted to
continue exploring.
After graduating in the spring of 2021, she helped with the aquarium’s Summer Camp where she
really saw her fondness for teaching and working with animals grow. In the fall of 2021,
Alejandra joined the Roundhouse team as a staff member. Now, her duties consist of connecting
with the public during public education hours (side note: she loves getting to teach in Spanish!),
teaching student education classes, working on social media, and learning the ropes of
aquaristing!
In her free time, Alejandra enjoys trying new roller skate tricks at the skatepark, hunting for
new boba spots, and playing video games.
